Little Dot (a favorite of mine as a kid) was a little girl comic book character who came to be in 1949 that LOVED polka dots; polka dotted anything. Here’s what she might wear if she grew up and wore luxurious, head-turning dresses.

Crisp 100% cotton poplin with our very own hand-printed polka dot print with black dots on a deepish blue red, this set is punctuated with black contrast at the jacket cuffs and collar, inside the petals and at the hip tie. The skirt tie is functional and so can be cinched up or loosened a bit.

This extremely flattering- and comfortable!-dress is made from more than 5 yards of one of our fabulous prints or our very own 100% hand-woven cotton with a luster that looks like silk. The fibers in this weave create an iridescent color with a shadowy edge that is magically slimming. Wear the “wings” up or down; wear it strapless, or with either one of the two sweetheart halter straps-one in each color. (You’ll receive both!)

This dress has vintage-style elastic ruching as well as boning in front side and back, if needed depending on size. Full elastic in the back.

The bodice front has boned inner cups, exactly like vintage dresses, because we use nothing but construction techniques true to the vintage period. When you see our couture construction and all the detail, you’ll understand why so many vintage collectors buy Whirling Turban dresses.
