This adorable style comes from the early Fifties. The dress is actually two completely separate pieces, and it's reversible! (You put on the left side and then the right side, or put it on in the reverse order to wear the other side out.) Functional ties at the shoulder-tops (are those cute or what?) that look like two butterflies perched fetchingly on your shoulders.

Waist fastened with covered buttons. This dress contains more than 5 yards of 100% hand-woven cotton ikat "sharkskin" fabric! This one has a tiny stripe and is almost sold out. We have this fabric especially woven for us, one batch at a time. You will not find this incredibly vintage-looking fabric anywhere else!

If you don't want to have to alter the dress, please insure that the bust waist and average torso length match your own. (Not for the tall or the short, without alterations.)
