| One of those "great dress designs of all time" that Whirlingturban is so fond of reprising. Originally designed by Peggy Wood in the 50's, our "Peggy Would" style has those "gravity defying sleeves", teetering dangerously on the outermost edges of your shoulders. So alluring and FLATTERING- the way it gives you a wide (and face-framing)line at the top, emphasizing smallness at the waist. This dress is ingeniously engineered inside to keep its grip on your shoulders and has elastic here and there for unstoppable cling. Slinky draping all down the front! Wrap n tie skirt. Note: you can wear the front of the dress in two positions. 100% rayon in a hand-dyed (making for much richer colors than factory-printed) "one off" print. One length (12 yards or so) of this fabric was made and it cannot be repeated. Colors are startlingly gorgeous and painterly. Motif has cherry blossoms, Chinese coins, tropical and star fish. Truly an umbrella drink of a dress. ***Careful!!!*** PLEASE BE CERTAIN that you follow the stated size parameters *exactly*! |
